Concealed Carry Course

Service Description

Students are provided with an in-depth look into Colorado and El Paso County law pertaining to the concealed carry of a firearm, and appropriate skills to possess while carrying a concealed firearm. Students receive their Certification of Training upon course completion, fulfilling the training requirement with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office to obtain a Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP) in Colorado. Includes both classroom and on-range instruction. Students will learn: • Primary rules of safety • Mindset • Colorado and El Paso County concealed carry law • Concealed carry handgun skills • Drawing from concealment • Responding to a self-defense incident • Legal considerations • Live fire range exercise Classroom: 10am- 1pm (NO FIREARMS OR AMMUNITION DURING CLASSROOM LEARNING) Lunch Break Range: 2-3pm Handgun rental, ammunition, target, range fee, and eye and ear protection are included. Please come dressed comfortably for training, no open-toed shoes or low-cut shirts. Keep in mind that to ensure you can place proper grip on the handgun, you must have medium to short-trimmed nails. IMPORTANT: NO FIREARMS OR AMMUNITION ALLOWED DURING CLASSROOM LEARNING This policy is verified at check-in. If you desire to bring your own handgun for on-range instruction, you will be allotted time between 1-2pm to pick it up from your home. Please ensure that it is unloaded and locked in its container.
